19:1 Բայց ամպարշտացն մինչեւ ՛ի սպա՛ռ եհաս ՛ի վերայ անողո՛րմ սրտմտութիւնն. քանզի գիտէր զնոցա եւ զհանդերձեալսն:

19:1 1. But upon the ungodly there came unto the end indignation without mercy; For their future also foreknew,
19:1 As for the ungodly, wrath came upon them without mercy unto the end: for he knew before what they would do: |
19:2 զի եւ նոքա դարձցին ՛ի գնալ, եւ տագնապաւ յուղարկեալ զնոսա` հալածեսցեն զղջացեալք[304]:

19:2 2. How that, having changed their minds to go, And having speeded them eagerly on their way, They would repent themselves and pursue them.
19:2 How that having given them leave to depart, and sent them hastily away, they would repent and pursue them: |
19:3 Զի մինչդեռ տակաւին ՛ի ձեռս իւրեանց ունէին զսուգս իւրեանց, եւ ճչէին առ գերեզմանօք մեռելոցն. մե՛ւս եւս անմտութեան խորհուրդ յինքեանս կորզէին. եւ զորս աղաչէինն եւ հանէին, նոցին որպէս փախստէից հետամո՛ւտ լինէին[305]:

19:3 3. For while they were yet in the midst of their mourning, And making lamentation at the graves of the dead, They drew upon themselves another counsel of folly, And pursued as fugitives those whom with intreaties they had cast out.
19:3 For whilst they were yet mourning and making lamentation at the graves of the dead, they added another foolish device, and pursued them as fugitives, whom they had intreated to be gone: |
19:4 Զի ձգէր զնոսա արժանն յա՛յնր վախճանի տագնապ. եւ զանցելոց անցիցն ընդ նոսա անյիշատակութիւն ՛ի մի՛տս արկանէին, զի զմնացելոց տանջանաց լցցե՛ն զպատիժս[306]:

19:4 4. For the doom which they deserved was drawing them unto this end, And it made them forget the things that had befallen them, That they might fill up the punishment which was yet wanting to their torments,
19:4 For the destiny, whereof they were worthy, drew them unto this end, and made them forget the things that had already happened, that they might fulfil the punishment which was wanting to their torments: |
19:5 եւ քո ժողովուրդ զնորասքանչ ճանապարհ գնասցէ, եւ նոքա նորանշան մա՛հ գտանիցեն[307]:

19:5 5. And that thy people might journey on by a marvellous road, But they might find a strange death.
19:5 And that thy people might pass a wonderful way: but they might find a strange death: |
19:6 Զի ամենայն արարածք յիւրաքանչիւր կարգի վերստին նորոգէր` արբանեկել քոց հրամանաց: Զի որոց որդիքն անվնա՛ս պահէին[308]:

19:6 6. For the whole creation, in its several kind, was fashioned again anew, Ministering to several commandments, That thy servants might be guarded free from hurt.
19:6 For the whole creature in his proper kind was fashioned again anew, serving the peculiar commandments that were given unto them, that thy children might be kept without hurt: |
19:7 ամպն ծածկեսցէ զբանակն: Զի ՛ի ջրոյն ցամաքութենէ որ ՛ի ներքո՛յ կայր` յատակք երկրին երեւէին. եւ ՛ի Կարմիր ծովուն ճանապա՛րհ անխափան` եւ դաշտ ծաղկաբեր ՛ի պտուտից բռնութեանն[309]:

19:7 7. was beheld the cloud that shadowed the camp, And dry land rising up out of what before was water, Out of the Red sea an unhindered highway, And a grassy plain out of the violent surge;
19:7 As namely, a cloud shadowing the camp; and where water stood before, dry land appeared; and out of the Red sea a way without impediment; and out of the violent stream a green field: |
19:8 Վասն որոյ միագունդ անցանէին որ քո՛վ ձեռամբդ ծածկեալ էին, տեսեալ զգործս սքանչելիս[310]:

19:8 8. By which they passed over with all their hosts, These that were covered with thy hand, Having beheld strange marvels.
19:8 Wherethrough all the people went that were defended with thy hand, seeing thy marvellous strange wonders: |
19:9 Զի իբրեւ զձիս ճախրեցան, եւ իբրեւ զգառինս խայտացին, օրհնել զքեզ Տէր որ փրկեցեր զնոսա[311]:

19:9 9. For like horses they roamed at large, And they skipped about like lambs, Praising thee, O Lord, who wast their deliverer.
19:9 For they went at large like horses, and leaped like lambs, praising thee, O Lord, who hadst delivered them: |
19:10 Քանզի յիշէին տակաւին զիրսն որ ՛ի պանդխտութեան իւրեանց, թէ զիա՞րդ փոխանակ ծննդեան անասնոց` բղխեա՛ց երկիր նոցա մուն: Եւ փոխանակ ջրականացն բղխեաց գետն բազմութիւն գորտոց[312]:

19:10 10. For they still remembered the things that came to pass in the time of their sojourning, How that instead of bearing cattle the land brought forth lice, And instead of fish the river cast up a multitude of frogs.
19:10 For they were yet mindful of the things that were done while they sojourned in the strange land, how the ground brought forth flies instead of cattle, and how the river cast up a multitude of frogs instead of fishes: |
19:11 Ապա յետոյ տեսին եւ նո՛ր ծնունդ թռչնոյ, յորժամ ցանկութեամբ տենչացեալք խնդրեցին խորտի՛կս կերակրոյ[313]:

19:11 11. But afterwards they saw also a new race of birds, When, led on by desire, they asked for luxurious dainties;
19:11 But afterwards they saw a new generation of fowls, when, being led with their appetite, they asked delicate meats: |
19:12 Զի ՛ի մխիթարութիւն ել նոցա լորամարգ ՛ի ծովէ, եւ պատիժք ՛ի վերայ մեղաւորաց հասին. ո՛չ առանց յառաջագոյն եղելոց նշանացն բռնութեամբ հրացան բարկութեանցն:
Քանզի յիրաւի՛ չարչարեցան ըստ իւրեանց չարութեանն, զի չարաչար օտարատեցութիւն հնարեցան[314]:

19:12 12. For, to solace them, there came up for them quails from the sea.
19:12 For quails came up unto them from the sea for their contentment.
KJV [13] And punishments came upon the sinners not without former signs by the force of thunders: for they suffered justly according to their own wickedness, insomuch as they used a more hard and hateful behaviour toward strangers: |
19:13 Զի ոմանք զանծանօթս եկեալս չընդունէին. եւ նոքա զերախտաւոր հեւրս ծառայեցուցանէին[315]:

19:13 13. And upon the sinners came the punishments Not without the tokens that were given beforehand by the force of the thunders; For justly did they suffer through their own wickednesses, For grievous indeed was the hatred which they practised toward guests.
19:13 KJV [14] For the Sodomites did not receive those, whom they knew not when they came: but these brought friends into bondage, that had well deserved of them: |
19:14 Եւ ո՛չ այնչափ միայն, այլ եւ այցելութիւն եղիցի նոցա. քանզի ատելութեամբ ընդունէին զօտարս[316]:

19:14 14. For whereas the received not the strangers when they came among The Egyptians made slaves of guests who were their benefactors.
19:14 KJV [15] And not only so, but peradventure some respect shall be had of those, because they used strangers not friendly: |
19:15 Բայց նոքա խնդութեամբ տօնիցն ընկալեալք, ընդ վաղուց ընդ նոցին արդարոցն վայելէին. անհնարին ցաւօք չարչարեցին զնոսա[317]:

19:15 15. And not only so, shall visit the men of Sodom after another sort, Since they received as enemies them that were aliens;
19:15 KJV [16] But these very grievously afflicted them, whom they had received with feastings, and were already made partakers of the same laws with them: |
19:16 Հարին շլացութեամբ իբրեւ զա՛յնոսիկ որ առ դուրս արդարոյն. յորժամ աննշոյլ անբա՛ց խաւարաւն պատեցան, իւրաքանչի՛ւրոք զիւրո՛յ դրաց ելս խնդրէր[318]:

19:16 16. Whereas these welcomed with feastings, And afflicted with dreadful toils, Them that had already shared in the same rights.
19:16 KJV [17] Therefore even with blindness were these stricken, as those were at the doors of the righteous man: when, being compassed about with horrible great darkness, every one sought the passage of his own doors: |
19:17 Զի վասն նոցա բնութիւնք պատշաճեալք, իբրեւ սաղմոսարանաւ իւրաքանչիւր յարդարեալ ձայնիւք. զիւրաքանչիւր անուն նուագէին, յամենայն ժամ ՛ի նմին ձայնի հաստատեալք. զոր է՛ ճշմարտիւ կարծել յեղելոցն տեսլենէ[319]:

19:17 17. And moreover they were stricken with loss of sight (Even as were those at the righteous man’s doors), When, being compassed about with yawning darkness, They sought every one the passage through his own door.
19:17 KJV [18] For the elements were changed in themselves by a kind of harmony, like as in a psaltery notes change the name of the tune, and yet are always sounds; which may well be perceived by the sight of the things that have been done: |
19:18 Զի ցամաքայինքն ՛ի ջո՛ւրս փոխէին, եւ լուղակքն յերկիր դառնային[320]:

19:18 18. For as the notes of a psaltery vary the character of the rhythm, Even so the elements, changing their order one with another, Continuing always in its sound; As may clearly be divined from the sight of the things that are come to pass.
19:18 KJV [19] For earthly things were turned into watery, and the things, that before swam in the water, now went upon the ground: |
19:19 Հուր` ջրո՛յ յաղթէր իւրով զօրութեամբ, եւ ջուր` զի՛ւր շիջուցիչ բնութիւնն մոռանայր:

19:19 19. For creatures of the dry land were turned into creatures of the waters, And creatures that swim trode upon the earth:
19:19 KJV [20] The fire had power in the water, forgetting his own virtue: and the water forgat his own quenching nature: |
19:20 Եւ բոցք` դարձեալ զդիւրածախ անասնոցն զմարմինսն ո՛չ թառամեցուցանէին ՛ի շրջելն իւրեանց. եւ ո՛չ հալէին զսառնակերպ զդիւրահալ զազգ անուշակ կերակրոյն: Զի յամենայնի բարձրացուցեր զժողովուրդ քո եւ փառաւորեցե՛ր. եւ ո՛չ անտես արարեր յամենայն ժամանակի, եւ յամենայն տեղիս քոյով պաշտպանութեամբ Տէր[321]:
Կատարեցաւ Իմաստութիւն Սողոմոնի[322]:

19:20 20. Fire kept the mastery of its own power in water, And water forgat its quenching nature:
19:20 KJV [21] On the other side, the flames wasted not the flesh of the corruptible living things, though they walked therein; neither melted they the icy kind of heavenly meat that was of nature apt to melt.
KJV [22] For in all things, O Lord, thou didst magnify thy people, and glorify them, neither didst thou lightly regard them: but didst assist them in every time and place: |
